In today’s digital age, cyber threats are escalating, making cybersecurity a critical concern not only for governments and corporations but also for individuals and aspiring professionals.
Amidst this landscape, certain countries face heightened vulnerabilities. Ukraine, for instance, has been enduring Russian aggression since February 2022, rendering cybersecurity and information security issues particularly acute for its citizens.
In response, a Cybersecurity Awareness training session was held for university students on February 5-6, 2024. Following our recent Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding, this initiative was part of our collaboration with the International Humanitarian University in Odesa, Ukraine.
The training featured US and South African cybersecurity experts, who introduced the students to fundamental cybersecurity principles and the risks associated with social engineering.
Participants who completed the training were awarded joint certificates from the International Humanitarian University and Tarand.
